Pablo Alvarado, an immigrant from El Salvador, is the national coordinator/founder of the national Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON). He received the 2014 Matusak Courageous Leadership Award for his work with local governments to help establish worker centers providing day laborers who are seeking jobs honest places of safety and employment.
KFLA received a community based grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. This three year grant's purpose is the development of a network of Latin American and Caribbean Kellogg Fellows, which will enable Fellows to come together to foster collaborations, mentoring and coaching opportunities and in turn making a collective impact in their local communities.
